Coolangatta Christmas Carols

Where: Queen Elizabeth Park, Cnr McLean Street & Marine Parade, Coolangatta.

Head down to Coolangatta’s Queen Elizabeth Park for a free evening of family fun entertainment. Coolangatta Christmas Carols presented by The Strand at Coolangatta will feature all of your favourite Christmas carols, and Santa will ‘drop by’ … when he arrives in style … skydiving!

The fun doesn’t stop there you can also browse the Coolangatta Christmas Markets and enjoy a bite to eat from the food trucks operating from 5pm. There will also be kids activities, and wonderful Christmas performances to enjoy.

Palm Beach Christmas by the Sea
When: Wednesday 13th December
Time: 4.30pm to 8pm
Where: Palm Beach Parklands, 945 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach

Held at Palm Beach Parklands Christmas by the Sea is a free annual community event. Enjoy fun for all the family with Christmas carols, face painting, barnyard animals, live entertainment and of course a visit from Santa.

Nineteenth Avenue Christmas Carols
When: Sunday 17th December
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Where: 19th Avenue Shopping Centre Carpark, Nineteenth Avenue, Palm Beach

Enjoy the free Christmas fun with a will line-up of fantastic performers such as Memphis Moovers, up and coming girl sensations Chasing Velvet, Andrea Gallaher and VOX studio performers, D and D Performing Arts Dancers. Seasoned entertainers, Jo-Dee McLean and Valerie Edwards will also entertain. There will be competitions, prizes, giveaways and an appearance from Santa.

The family comes here for a holiday once every few years. The rooms have had an upgrade since we were here last. The furniture is nice, the rooms are spacious with great seaside views. The staff really care for us and we'll be back again in the future.

Location great! Stayed in 601 and the room smelt like off yogurt especially the curtains. Had to open up doors and was quite loud due to this. Bed kept collapsing as well. Had to rebuild it our selves. very cheap designs, and the beams were thin and were held by plastic pieces that had to be fixed several times. Location was very good though. U also need to pay to use the pool table equipment and the table tennis stuff.

The unit was dirty. Everywhere you put your hands was filthy. The T.V. only had 2 stations with full reception only on permanent channels the wanted to sell you product.We go to the Gold Coast in a 4 week cycle and wont bother these managers again.

Staying during the school holidays. Was brilliant. The apartment was very clean and had lovely views lots of services laundry powder washing powder included. Ample parking for those with large families would definitely stay again.

Perfect on the beach getaway. Fully furnished apartments, quiet,clean and comfortable. Views North to Gold Coast beaches and Coolangatta to the South. Leslie was a most helpful and friendly on site manager.

Great views, being right next to the beach. Close to the airport and reasonably priced. Bathroom had been recently renovated, but ensuite and kitchen quite dated and tired.

Absolutely breathtaking, you get views of the ocean from the front balcony and the hill's to the west from the back balcony. Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Airport right across the road so great for plane spotting.

Not at all accommodating when I was taken into hospital unexpectedly and unable to make my stay. Didn't even respond to an email request to see if we could reschedule. Thanks for your compassion, enjoy my money.

Family stayed at pelican found the management unfriendly , unapproachable, the building looks rundown and neglected especially in the foyer on my level spa and sauna area looks rundown and neglected such a shame beautiful location

Amazing views, large rooms, direct access to beach. Little touches like salt and pepper in the kitchen, ice cubes in the freezer, big glasses for icy drinks. Great little out of the way spot.

We stayed 4 nights at Pelican Sands Resort purely because it was close to John Flynn Hospital. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The rooms are newly renovated, spotlessly clean, spacious and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The resort is right on the beach, there is no road in between or trees/buildings blocking view. There is a lovely BBQ area on the beach, alongside a beautiful pool. As well as an in door plunge pool, spa, pool table and ping pong table for rainy/cold days. It’s is in a great location, walking distance to IGA and cafes. Away from all the hustle and bustle but still within a reasonable driving distance to Surfers Paradise etc if you wish to do the touristy thing. It is only a bit over 4km from Coolangatta which has some really beautiful restaurants and shops.I would definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful week stay at a unit with an absolutely breathtaking view of the ocean! Can’t wait to go back again. The staff is wonderful units are clean and well equipped and the price is extremely reasonable. Can’t beat Pelican Sands Resort.

The view from our apartment was the most amazing view, straight direct to the ocean it was like having our own private beach!! No roads or other apartments in the way! The room was clean and had a lovely kitchen and cute little furnishings. Loved the spa bath in our bathroom. Would definitely come back.
