Spring has almost sprung! Book your Queensland holiday and enjoying the many things to do on the Gold Coast.
Markets – The Gold Coast boasts a long list of outdoor Farmers Markets, arts and crafts markets, vintage markets and street food markets. Why not grab a coffee from one of the food carts and spend a morning browsing the stalls.
Whale Watching – May to November is whale watching season on the Gold Coast. Join a whale sightseeing cruise for guaranteed sightings and an up-close experience, or test your luck and see if you can spot whales spouting and breeching from the beach, headlands or your balcony here at Pelican Sands Absolute Beachfront.
Picnics – Enjoy time spent in the great outdoors with a picnic by the beach, park, waterways or venture in to the Gold Coast hinterland. Pack a spread of all your picnic favourites (think fresh fruits, chocolates, breads, cheeses, dips, crackers, wraps/sandwiches/baguettes – yum) and head out with your family and friends. You could also make it a breakfast picnic and watch the sun come up!
When staying at our self-contained apartments including your own fully equipped kitchen, it’s a breeze to prepare your own meals or packed lunches!
Eating Out – Our region is home to an excellent selection of cafes and restaurants selling everything from American diner style food to latest in health foods. Many of these eateries offer outdoor dining for you to take advantage of the Gold Coast weather. If you’re looking for a restaurant with beach views, we recommend one of the local Surf Clubs or Oskars on Burleigh for uninterrupted views.
Trails, hikes and lookouts – Close to the coast you can enjoy a scenic walk around Burleigh Headland to Tallebudgeera Creek, teeming with flora and fauna it’s also a great vantage point for spotting whales during the migration season.
A short drive will get you to the Currumbin Rockpools, which is a popular swimming hole for locals and visitors alike.
Or jump in the car and head into the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland where the options for nature exploration are endless!
Beach Baby – If you love the sun and surf then you’ll fall in love with the Gold Coast during Spring.
